Before & After: Unit Renovation in Malua Bay

A new kitchen, a reworked bathroom and laundry, and a fresh finish throughout. Here’s how we prepared this unit for rental.

A fresh start for the kitchen

White cabinetry, overhead cupboards and drawer storage replaced the older kitchen. Painted brickwork gives the room a lighter look while keeping its texture.

Three spaces brought together

We removed walls between the bathroom, laundry and toilet to create one room, making better use of the unit’s existing space.

The finished room includes a glass shower enclosure, a recessed shower niche, new toilet and laundry tub. Light wall tiles with subtle veining carry through the space, giving the combined room a consistent finish.

It’s a useful example of how changing a layout can be just as important as choosing new fittings.

New flooring and painting throughout extended the transformation beyond the kitchen and bathroom.

The warm timber look of the flooring works alongside the white cabinetry and freshly painted walls, giving the unit a consistent feel from room to room.

By completing these updates together, the owners could prepare the property for rental as one renovation project.
